Multi-Color recognized for AmeriStar-winning labels

Multi-Color Corporation has been acknowledged by the Institute of Packaging Professionals with a 2004 AmeriStar Award for their contribution to the Folgers AromaSeal canister. The AmeriStar Package Awards are designed to recognize and reward the most exceptional packages of the year. Winning packages were selected from more than 135 entries, spanning 14 categories.
The Folgers AromaSeal canister won the AmeriStar Award within the food category and is decorated with heat transfer labels from Multi-Color Corporation. The labels are gravure printed at Multi-Color's Framingham, MA, facility, and are applied in one pass on to three separate panels with specially developed Therimage decorating equipment. They are gravure printed for brand authentication and graphic intensity. The distinctive shape of the container and paneled walls were engineered by Procter & Gamble to preserve the integrity of the canister during transportation. The labels conform to these panels to create the no label look.
The package will be on display during the PackExpo show in Chicago in November.
