New Australian partnership debuts Jetrion label presses

Australian graphic arts distribution company, DES has formed a new partnership with EFI. It was timed to coincide with the Australian release of EFI’s Jetrion 4000 UV and 4830 inkjet narrow-web digital colour presses.
Targeted for the labeling, packaging and direct mail industries, the new Jetrion models were said to have been enthusiastically received by industry visitors to the recent PrintEx trade show in Sydney.
DES has held distribution rights for EFI proofing solutions for the past 10 years and is now also a partner for EFI's Vutek superwide digital inkjet printers, Rastek UV wide format inkjet printers and Jetrion industrial inkjet printing systems.
‘We are delighted to further strengthen our relationship with EFI’ commented DES managing director, Ian Clare. ‘We have worked extensively with EFI for a long time now and this partnership is a logical step to providing a wider Asia Pacific regional service’, Clare told Labels and Labeling, confirming that initial reactions to the Jetrion launch had been extremely positive by Australian label printers.
Equally positive about the move, EFI’s managing director for Asia Pacific, Ramin Kazemi commented ‘DES shares our vision of adding value and they have a strong history of successfully introducing and supporting digital technology into the graphic arts markets.’
