Package printing has been, and will continue to be, one of the fastest growing fields in the industry. As manufacturers develop high-quality products, they continue to demand high-quality labels and packages with which to ship and display them. PIA/GATFPress’s newest release, ‘Common-Sense Flexography’ by David J. Lanska, offers an in-depth examination of flexography, including everything from process controls and techniques to equipment adjustments and maintenance, environmental and safety concerns, the future of the industry, and more.

David J. Lanska is the midwest regional sales manager for Stork Materials Technology – Stork Cellramic, Inc. He has served Stork for 25 years in various maintenance, production, quality assurance, technical service, and sales positions. Lanska is a regular contributor to flexographic special interest publications and a regular speaker at technical conferences. Lanska won the 2005 FTA President’s Award and was the recipient of FLEXO Magazine’s first Author’s Award in 2000. He is currently a member of the FTA’s Environmental and Membership Committees as well as the FTA Supplier Leadership Council.

Mark Cisternino, Flexographic Technical Association president, said, ‘David offers a fresh perspective and provides new insights that will prove valuable to many flexographers. This comprehensive text is a must-read for anyone wishing to better understand anilox roll technology and proper pressroom practices.’
