New Player Enters Digital Inkjet Arena

Inkjet head developer Trident has launched a UV inkjet system aimed at labeling and flexible packaging converters. Trident’s BreezeMark UV is based around the company’s UltraJet II or 768Jet printhead, utilizing low energy curing and producing print up to 10cm (4") tall print. The tall image height enables 2-up or 4-up printing onto coupons or labels.
BreezeMark UV ink is claimed to require only one third the cure power of competing UV cured ink jet systems, making it ideal for flexographic web and plastic sheet printing on a wide variety of heat-sensitive materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, semi-gloss label stock and vinyl. Trident's BreezeMark UV Ink will be compatible with both the Trident UltraJet II 192/32 and 768Jet industrial printheads.
