Ashland reveals new-zero VOC surfactant - Strodex PK-86NV

The new phosphate ester surfactant has been developed to enhance additive performance especially for waterborne architectural coatings.

‘Compared to other products in the PK line, Strodex PK-86NV surfactant combines high active content with near-zero VOCs,’ said Lisa Macron, global marketing manager at Ashland. ‘The product also contains no alkyl phenol ethoxylates (APEOs) and is REACH compliant.’

This unique product improves substrate wetting, increases gloss, and enhances color acceptance.  It can also serve as a co-dispersant in some formulations.
