Avery Dennison has launched a transparent self-adhesive film labelstock, Fasson R-PET50 Clear, which the company says is the first recycled film facestock in the label market.

Avery Dennison offers the new 50 micron Fasson R-PET50 Clear film with a choice of adhesives, Fasson S692N for all-round performance, and, for extra clarity and tack, Fasson S4700. Both adhesives comply with international food labeling regulations. Completing the laminate is Fasson BG42 White glassine release liner, with no imprint.

Henrik Kajueter, Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe's vice president, marketing, commented:  'It delivers sustainability without compromising on-press performance or label aesthetics. The availability of this new thin film, made from a minimum of 80 percent post-consumer waste PET, is a real bonus for brand owners and label converters who are committed to sustainability. We expect Fasson R-PET50 Clear to quickly take market share in high-volume markets such as food and personal care products – particularly as this recycled material can deliver the same quality of print results as virgin PET.'
