Baker Self Adhesive Materials has launched its BM1070 dissolvable paper for label printing. Composed of a completely water-soluble adhesive and dispersible paper, the product is able to dissolve on contact with cold water through a waste water system or any washing or rinsing process.

David Richards, materials manager, commented: ‘This labelstock is ideal where there is a requirement for temporary labeling and permits pricing and similar labels to be easily removed by the end user or consumer. The product is perfectly suited for reusable transport boxes of all kinds, high quality domestic articles of glass, plastic or metal as well laboratory apparatus and samples in the food industry. The very quick solubility of the label paper without any mechanical agitation favors the solubility of the adhesive. For this reason even a strong adhesive bonding can be washed off rapidly and residue free with cold, neutral water.’

BM1070 cold water soluble label material is bio-degradable, meets FDA Standard 175.105 for indirect food contact and is thermal transfer printable for variable data. Optimized for water-based inks it can be used with almost any label printing process. The company offers delivery on a next working day basis.

Based in London, England, Baker Self Adhesive Materials is an HP Indigo Treatment Center and the distribution center for Fasson, Madico, Arjobex and Tyvek.
