CGS showcased three new products besides its cloud-based eCollaboration software, Aproove.

ORIS XG Inks is a new, extended-gamut eco solvent ink set, including orange and green, for the Roland VersaCamm VS series. The inks provide a wider color gamut than the standard ink set, giving label and packaging designers, prepress professionals and brand managers the opportunity to prototype their work in full color.

The new ORIS Transparent Film line enables eco solvent printing on any substrate. For the Roland VersaCamm VS, it is also said to provide wide-gamut color capabilities on virtually all substrates. The printed film is easily laminated to the selected media, for a vivid and accurate proof of the finished product. In addition, CGS-ORIS customers may also create virtual prototypes of label and package designs with RealVue 3D Packager.

RealPro Packaging Suite is an automated workflow system and 3D visualization environment for labeling and packaging print service providers.

‘The label and packaging markets are undergoing profound change – driven by hard economics and a host of new technology developments,’ said Trevor Haworth, CEO. ‘Just as we helped publishers and commercial printers thrive amidst this type of change – with our ORIS software and consumables – so too we are helping every member of the label and packaging supply chain.’
