Clarifoil, a producer of cellulose acetate films, has reported successful participation in Labelexpo Americas, with its tamper evident film and environmentally-friendly label film materials receiving ‘a great deal of interest’.

Clarifoil’s Marion Bauer said: ‘Clarifoil has made enormous leaps forward with tamper evident technology whilst consistently holding firm with our environmental credentials. The exhibition had an exceptional turn out and we received a great deal of interest from both the Americas and Europe.’

Clarifoil offers a range of film materials suitable for pharmaceutical, cosmetics, electronics and food products. The labels are produced from cellulose acetate making them ‘entirely compostable’, says the company. ‘Using responsibly sourced wood pulp from controlled forestry makes the labels bio-degradable and they can also be disposed of in sewage-treatment plants. If incinerated they produce energy, without causing harmful emissions.’
