Dantex Digital, part of the Dantex Group, has launched PicoJet 254, a new digital label press offering 5-color reel-to-reel UV system with up to 10in print width.
The PicoJet 254, which can operate at speeds up to 75/min (250ft/min), is built for high volume printing capability offering production in excess of 8 million linear meters per year.
Thanks to the 2.5pl dot size and an effective resolution at 1200 x 1200 dpi, it is capable of printing micro text and the smallest of text point size. The software can also restrict the outline of the text, enabling readability even on the smallest of details.
The system incorporates Web Stream Technology, an automatic web reverse function minimizing waste between jobs, as well as the Automatic Splice Recognition allowing the print-heads to move away from the splice during reel changes.
As with all systems in the Pico range, the new press includes Dantex’s proprietary software for the production of labels, together with all the image manipulation features.
PicoJet 254 is also equipped with PicoPilot front-end controller including step and repeat functions, imposition templates, registration control, label counting and cost calculator as standard features.
The paper transport system used on the PicoJet controls the run without displacement and maintains extremely stable reel-to-reel transfer conditions, which combined with the high resolution of print heads ensures high registration accuracy. PicoJet platform offers an accurate rendition of QR codes, barcodes as well as other security printing requirements.
