At Labelexpo Europe, Hanita Coatings showed its recently launched line of printable PET facestock that irreversibly change color after exposure to liquid, clearly indicating water intrusion. The face films are suitable for warranty validity labels used in electronic equipment and available in a range of colors and printable by conventional, TT and laser print.

Visitors to the Hanita stand saw technological developments to its filmic technologies: PET films optimized for UV inkjet printers, PET films compatible with both monochrome and color laser printers/copiers and multi-functional matte coating also printable by HP Indigo digital presses.

Hanita also showed several new overlaminate films, including a 23 micron UV stabilized clear polyester film with a proprietary dry-erase coating for outdoor use. The film retains gloss, clarity and dimensional stability in harsh external environments, and provides a wipe clean surface suitable for ‘liquid chalk’ or standard Expo type dry type erasable markers.
