Mactac launches MacBond FBR899 series tapes

The product line features Mactac’s workhorse MacBond FBR899 adhesive, which offer, what’s claimed to be, the highest-tack rubber available, as well as a blend of adhesion and peel characteristics. It has low-surface energy performance and high-level adhesion to most open- and closed-cell foams, as well as corrugated materials. Additionally, it forms aggressive bonds to textiles and textured surfaces.

‘Mactac’s MacBond FBR899 adhesive was developed as an internal innovation to meet market needs for a robust, high-performance adhesive that could be used in a variety of applications,’ said Janet Page, senior marketing manager at Mactac Performance Adhesives. ‘It works on just about any and every surface imaginable and is a true “goldilocks” product – not too firm, not too soft, and gives the best blend of performance available in a rubber adhesive.’

The new line is offered in transfer adhesive and double-coated film form with a 0.5-mil PET carrier. MacBond FBR899 series tapes are available with a wide range of release liners and feature a two-year shelf life.
