Martin Automatic reports that it enjoyed a ‘very successful’ Labelexpo Americas. The company showed its new MBSC/STR combo package as well as its MBSF butt splicer and LRD rewinder. Two MBSCs were sold to a label converter in southwestern USA and a MBSF was sold to a company in Ohio.

Gavin Rittmeyer, VP of sales and marketing, said: ‘The economy in 2009 forced a lot of companies to be more innovative with their product production. The combo package is the result of Martin’s research into the needs of narrow web printers. We thought there was a need for a splicer optimized for the narrow web market and based upon input from customers and the ROI data acquired at the show, we now have solid validation that we were correct. We were very pleased with the attention the new combo package received at the show.’

After the show, Martin hosted an open house for 23 delegates from Brazil. This event included a tour of a local printer’s facility that uses Martin equipment and a tour of Martin’s Rockford manufacturing plant.
