Mondi to present biodegradable release liner at Labelexpo

Mondi will present its portfolio of silicone-coated release liners for the label industry and a wide range of newly developed functional coatings at this year’s Labelexpo Europe on stand 12HW57.

‘Consistent high-quality of release liners adapted to specific manufacturing conditions is crucial to our customers. Mondi takes a leading role in the development of biodegradable films and coated substrates and extends its Sustainex product range by a biodegradable and compostable polymer-based release liner – according to EN 13432,’ said Carsten Lange, general manager, release liners, Europe.

By combining and processing materials, Mondi can produce various types of products according to requirements. Typical functionalities within the range are: fireproof coatings for buildings or other industries; anti-slip properties for medical apparel, trays, packaging and building; antistatic conductives for electronics, clean room applications, tapes; top coating for films to improve printability and/or adhesive anchorage, and many more.
