The press is powered by Memjet inkjet technology, prints at the resolutions of 1600dpi and runs at speed of up to 45m/min. It enables label printer to adopt digital workflow in label printing at a low cost with features including high definition CMYK full color printing, micro text, variable data and security printing. Jetsci ColorAqua hybrid press can print on most general coated and uncoated labelstock materials without primers and many films substrates by applying primers.

Jimit Mittal, vice president, inkjet products and solutions, Monotech Systems, said: ‘With the evolving retail selling patterns and consumables becoming more affordable, the digital label printing technology is getting more relevant. As run lengths continue to shrink, short runs are geting more in demand and customization or personalization needs are becoming imperative to modern day marketing. Printers are, thus, being driven to adopt digital. However, label industry is conservative to invest in digital printing equipment because of high cost of consumables and end price to consumer including margins. Therefore, Monotech Systems decided to develop Jetsci Coloraqua hybrid, full color digital label press to bridge the gap between existing equipment and market demand.’

Monotech Systems has integrated various inkjet printhead technologies and with over 250 installations in more than18 countries globally.
