New synthetic paper for outdoor applications from Hop Industries

Hop Industries has introduced its white opaque Hop-Syn XT synthetic paper designed for flexo printing indoor and outdoor tags that need to be water and tear resistant. Hop-Syn XT grade is a UV durable, extra tear resistant synthetic paper that is manufactured to meet the highest standards in the tag and label printing industry.

Hop Syn XT is suitable for sewn in promotional product tags, horticultural tags, lumber tags, RFID tags, and sewn tags that need to have extreme tear resistance. Hop-Syn XT is manufactured with additional whitening agents to improve its opacity and sheet brightness to 94 percent. The company’s XT grade has a high dyne level and a smooth matte finish that reportedly allows the production of higher quality graphics, for both commercial and industrial applications. It is also suitable for digital printing by thermal transfer, UV inkjet, Indigo and laser printing for printing variable data.
