Omet launches wider XFlex X6

Omet has launched its 20in (530mm) wide XFlex X6, targeted both at label and package printing applications, at Labelexpo Americas 2012. The press is designed around a short web path with quick job changeovers using lightweight glass fiber or aluminum sleeves, and includes the Vision 2 advanced register control system. The press was shown with a Monotwin Cut die-cutting unit, which allows converters to change die repeats using a single magnetic cylinder by accelerating the web during cutting.

Also on the stand was a demonstration sleeve offset unit, as well as a gravure station. These are modular platform systems which will be avaliable both for the XFlex and Varyflex platforms.
