Prati reveals two new finishers at Labelexpo

Prati will be launching two brand new machines and demonstrating technologies dedicated to digital finishing and mid-web applications at the Labelxepo Europe in Brussels.

The new digital converting line Digifast20000 by Prati

The new digital converting line Digifast20000 has been designedto process mid-web jobs and matches, in semi-rotary mode, one single printing repeat of the HP Indigo 20000. It includes cold UV curing technology for consistent and cost-effective results on a range of substrates and features a unique job set-up system generating zero waste. The new machine has been developed to easily integrate different technologies such as PSL, IML, shrink sleeve and wrap around.

The second of Prati’s premiers will be the new Saturn Digi, designed to provide a flexible system for digitally printed labels and films. It will be exhibited with an F/R flexo unit and a 25.5in semi-rotary die-cutting unit. It has been built to enable integration with optional modules and is configured with paper paths optimized to the desired finishing processes. The unique modular concept also enables converters to integrate the module into any of the existing Saturn slitter rewinders.

Prati will also be demonstrating advanced converting technologies, including theSaturn Bidi developed for the pharmaceutical market and security industry, offering failsafe camera checks, back numbering and a buffer enabling process acceleration. On show will be also Jupiter 670, designed for beverage market and featuring automatic rewinding for flexible packaging with the capability of reaching speeds up to 400 m/min. For the food and homecare markets Prati designed Alhena, which will be presented during Labelexpo with double stacker unit and a 28in die repeat for long labels.

‘We have seen our business grow beyond expectations in recent years. This is almost certainly due to our close understanding of market trends, collaboration with key players and an investment program aimed at finding those innovations, which lead to production efficiency, quality and consistent reliability,’ said Chiara Prati, sales and marketing directorat Prati.

The show visitors will be able to see two new finishers and live demonstrations at booth C41 in hall 5 during Labelexpo next week.
