Propheteer installs new re-registration offline converting system

Propheteer International, located in Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA, has delivered the first of a new line of re-registration offline converting systems. This new product line is based on the Servo InLine printing presses built by Propheteer since 1999. The new machine, destined for a large packaging company with offset and gravure printing presses, features automatic re-insertion control for the precise application of such processes as flexographic printing, foil decorating, embossing and die-cutting to enhance the client’s packaging materials.
Propheteer says the machine takes full advantage of servo technology by going beyond the limitations of gear-driven repeat lengths: working equally well with inch, metric and fractional lengths. An easy-to-use operator interface provides the power to enable the machine to identify and lock on to the preprinted web. The automatic system then takes control, allowing the machine operator to perform other tasks. The unwind and rewind feature a roll lift/unloader, and the rewind has automatic taper tension for the ideal roll profile.
