Radius Solutions launches Pecas Vision upgrade

Radius Solutions, management software provider for the packaging and printing industry, has released a new version of its ERP system, Pecas Vision.
 
Pecas Vision 11002 incorporates enhancements and additions to help companies streamline processes, increase efficiencies, maximize materials use and get more from their existing resources. Additional emphasis has been placed on flexibility, allowing easier integration, improved data mining capabilities and.NET Outlook like user interface.
 
Among areas of focus have been multi-plant enhancements, allowing companies to move materials between plants more quickly and schedule different stages of work at different facilities based on capacity, cost savings and most efficient use of production resources. These capabilities also include WIP valuation transfers so accurate costs for products can be tracked and analyzed, as well as automatic report generation allowing important information to be pushed to the people who need it.
 
The new software release incorporates additional efficiencies in areas such as automatic event notification, added email capabilities, expanded reporting options and improved forecasting capabilities. Pecas Vision 11002 also offers improved methods of data import and export to facilitate third party software integration, such as with leading financial applications.
 
‘During the last few years we have seen two key trends driving the development of our software,’ said David Taylor, president and CEO. ‘The first is centralization of business processes, particularly for larger multi-plant operations. Since our application is designed to support this structure, it ensures that acquired operations can be easily integrated within the core business system. The second is the need for improved efficiencies based upon existing resources. Consequently we focused on facilitating process optimization and efficiency.’
 
Pecas Vision 11002 is generally available and a number of the company’s packaging clients are in the process of upgrading to it. Several sessions at the North America Users Conference held last week in Chicago were dedicated to covering details of the release. ‘The sessions were well attended and client feedback regarding the new offering has been extremely positive,’ said Taylor.
