Ricoh launches synthetic direct thermal product

Ricoh Electronics has launched a direct thermal synthetic product, the 140LES, for the hospital environment.

The 140LES is said to have a high quality resolution at multiple print speeds (from 2 to 10 inches per second). In addition, the enhanced resolution combined with superior environmental and heat resistance makes the product a versatile material for any application, but specifically for hospital environments. Ricoh’s patented coating technology provides an increase in thermal head life.

Because of its special blend of high sensitivity and high environmental resistance, the 140LES is also recommended for various applications such as food, industrial warehouse, airline industry and healthcare.
