Rogers launches laminate for demanding environmental conditions

The Advanced Circuit Materials (ACM) Division of Rogers Corporation has introduced its Syron 7000 laminate, specially developed for printed circuit boards used in demanding environmental conditions. It is a thermoplastic film with double-sided copper foils suitable for double-sided PCB and simple MLB applications.
Syron 7000 is halogen-free, UL rated, RoH compliant and lead-free process compatible. It is thermally stable, with a melting temperature higher than PTFE and an estimated maximum operating temperature (MOT) greater than 210 deg C (410 deg F). It possesses ‘impressive’ chemical and radiation resistance, says the company, while its ‘excellent mechanical and thermal performance’ make it suited to the automotive, chip packaging, oil and gas, and food and beverage processing industries.
