Screen has launched an SC+ Chroma Package for its Truepress Jet 520HD series offering press hardware and software upgrades, a wider color gamut, and SC+ ink

Screen announced the first version of SC ink at drupa in 2016. The ink was designed to be printed on both standard coated and uncoated papers without pretreatment or primer, offering quick drying time and fast absorption.

Demand for the ink’s capabilities has grown considerably as print markets face ongoing challenges of paper shortages. With an expanded gamut and improvements in hue purity, SC+ inks allow printers to match colors in a broader range and at a greater accuracy than SC ink.

The Chroma Package with SC+ has been developed to empower printers to deliver products tailored to meet customers’ individual needs, whether the lower cost to produce through ink savings or more vibrant color and precise spot color matching. The Chroma package includes the SC+ ink, tools, and training.

The Chroma Package is available now with new presses. Screen has also begun the process of scheduling field upgrades for existing customers who choose to convert to the latest technology.
