UPM Raflatac to launch paper label material at Labelexpo

At the Digital Print Workshops during Labelexpo Europe 2011, UPM Raflatac will introduce Optimum Extra, a mid-gloss paper label face for HP Indigo and digital UV-inkjet printing.

Optimum Extra covers all mid-gloss end-uses from food and drinks to home care, retail and logistics. It has a specially adapted surface which is claimed to provide optimum color saturation and consistently crisp resolution, without the need for an additional primer before printing. 

‘A long shelf-life prior to printing enables fast deliveries from stock – the vital difference when competing on quality and speed,’ said the company.
