UPM Raflatac unveils new fruit tag materials

UPM Raflatac has expanded its product range for food labeling with five new Fruit Tag materials. These Thermal Eco Tag and Thermal Top Tag grades are said to meet key demands for reliable fruit tagging.
The new Fruit Tag materials have a thick structure comprising a thermal paper and strong, fibrillated film which is said to provide excellent stiffness and tear resistance. This makes the Fruit Tags suitable for manual as well as automatic net tagging, and ensures that they stay with products wherever they go, before and after checkout. Premium printability features, both flexo and direct thermal, effectively communicates the messages on the product.
Among the five new tags is a Smooth option which combines good stiffness with an enhanced print result. The Thermal Top Tag is barrier-coated on the top side for improved moisture resistance in applications requiring a longer lasting print.
These and other Fruit Tag products are available through UPM Raflatac’s Fast Web service. Fast Web covers a wide selection of coated and uncoated papers, boards, liners and films, with low minimum quantities, custom-slit orders and fast delivery.
