UPM Raflatac unveils PP embossed overlaminating films

UPM Raflatac has introduced two new textured PP embossed overlaminating films to give labels a new finish. Laminated over silver and gold films or over white and colored papers, these Linen and Pearl embossing patterns ‘give a new look and feel to labels and make them stand out even better’, says the company. In addition to a quality look and feel, overlaminating can also create an impression of higher print contrast and color intensity.
UPM Raflatac supplies a range of PP and PET films for paper or filmic labels in a wide range of end uses. In terms of functionality, film overlaminating protects the print from abrasion and extends the lifetime of the label. Particularly with paper labels, overlaminating gives better resistance to water and chemical spills, improves mechanical and thermal stability, and allows labels to be wiped clean. UPM Raflatac’s overlaminating films come in a variety of thicknesses and finishes. The adhesives supplied with these films are said to have excellent clarity, and selected overlaminates are compatible with the no-label look.
