UPM's label papers on show at Labelexpo Europe

UPM will present its range of papers at Labelexpo Europe 2009, including recent developments for product labeling and variable information printing.
UPM LabelCoat lux is a woodfree, one side coated paper, with improved whiteness for product and information labeling. UPM LabelCoat lux is said to perform well in varying climate conditions with excellent surface characteristics. It is a basic face paper for the food and pharmaceutical industry, suitable for both product and information labeling.
UPM LabelCoat pro is a woodfree, one side coated paper with improved printability and visual appearance, especially developed for self-adhesive labeling. Being online calendered, this grade has good printability and runnability properties, says the company.
UPM's C1S (one side coated), WFU and WFC (woodfree uncoated and coated) face papers are used in self-adhesive laminating, converting, printing and labeling applications. In base papers the range consists of glassines as well as SCK (supercalendered kraft) and CCK (clay coated kraft) types of release liners, including good solutions for two-sided tapes.
‘UPM's face and base papers have an excellent quality consistency, optimal surface properties and runnability. That's why they give the high performance throughout our customers' converting process,’ said Antti Heimola, UPM's product manager for label papers.
During Labelexpo, UPM will promote its environmental credentials at Green Park, an area of the show dedicated to sustainability.
