UK-based Fisher Clark, one of the world’s longest established print manufacturers, has launched a new service that will offer label printers, ribbons and actual label products straight to the SME business end-user.

To be known as Fisher Clark Connect, this new business unit has been created in response to the demand for competitively priced, quality labeling products for the SME business market – a sector which Fisher Clark believes offers a growth opportunity for the company to offer generic labeling products, as well as solutions for specific vertical sectors.

This new business unit will be based at the company’s existing Lincolnshire, UK, headquarters and headed up by business manager, Frank Curtis, who has been with Fisher Clark for over 25 years, and the existing vastly experienced Fisher Clark team.

Fisher Clark Connect’s initial product range will consist mainly of desk top printers and labeling consumables but will quickly grow to encompass more specialized products for specific applications, such as retail and horticulture and will be targeted at small businesses for whom ease of operation and cost are key issues.

Customers will be able to purchase initially from the BS-V series range of ‘Toshiba’ desktop label printers, comprising direct thermal and thermal transfer technology, including a range of popular sized labels and thermal transfer ribbons designed specifically for these machines. There will also be a wide range of thermal transfer ribbons and labels available for all of the major printer models that are used for industrial and other purposes. These products will also be available for customers to order direct online.

‘Our customer base will consist of a wide variety of end users – from logistics companies and industrial users to small independent retailers – any organization which needs to print its own labels with information such as bar codes, sell by dates, prices and variable information of any kind,’ explained Frank Curtis.

‘Fisher Clark Connect is making things simple to suit the needs of SME business customers by offering them the correct products for their labeling requirements and excellent point of sale advice. It will be a one-stop-shop which will enable customers to save time and money and negate the need for them to shop around for all of their different product requirements.’
