New Zealand printer honored with business award

Labels and Litho, one of New Zealand’s major self-adhesive label converters, won the Green Gold award at the annual Wellington Gold Event, which recognizesoutstanding performers in the New Zealand capital city’s business community. 

Established in 1978, the second generation family company can look back on an innovative history in the industry, having been the first New Zealand printer to install flexographic presses. In 2008, Labels and Litho became the country’s first self-adhesive labeling company to obtain EnviroMark Gold accreditation. Two years later, it became the first to install a reel-fed HP Indigo ws4500 digital press supported by Rotoflex inspection rewinders. 

Last year, the company was received theSustainability Award for the Best Small to Medium Enterprise and co-proprietor Camilla Welch won the Supreme Award at the 2010 Wellington Businesswoman of the Year awards.
