Nilorn Calmon brands 'Gucci Gear' for army world
Logos, labels and logistics specialist Nilorn Calmon UK has launched an attack on designer army apparel.
The company's design team has targeted Snugpak's 'Gucci kit for the Military', used by British troops in some of the toughest and most dangerous trouble spots in the world. Specially designed woven labels and swing tickets have been created by Nilorn's in-house design team for Snugpak's much prized Softie jackets and sleeping bags.
‘The phones have been red hot since the announcement that a further 3000 British
troops will be sent to Afghanistan,’ said Mick Dobson, managing director for Snugpak, the UK's biggest manufacturer and supplier of sleeping bags, rucksacks and insulated clothing.
‘Soldiers all over the world use Snugpak and have been doing for many years and it has been reported several times in the national press that soldiers spend hundreds of pounds buying their own “quality” kit which is why we have earned the nickname “Gucci Kit”. And when you're a top quality brand, you need top quality labels and that's why we use Nilorn.’
Chris Wildman, brand sales manager for Nilorn Calmon UK, said: ‘With British troops currently working in some of the toughest and most dangerous trouble spots in the world, great kit is crucial to them. We have been working with Snugpak for 15 years which is a renowned company within the military world so we are always keen to ensure the branding is always synonymous with the Snugpak experience.’
Based in Keighley, West Yorkshire, Nilorn Calmon UK is part of the Nilorn Worldwide group.
