Nilpeter grows Mexico presence at Latin America Summit
Nilpeter, manufacturer of roll-label narrow web presses, consolidated its position within the Mexican market at the recent Latin America Label Summit organized by Labelexpo. The event, which included a conference and tabletop exhibition, was held in Mexico City and attracted label converters from throughout Mexico, Central and South America. It was an excellent opportunity for Nilpeter professionals to connect with existing customers and also introduce prospects to the company’s latest press technology.
With around 100 installations already in place in Mexico, the company has customers using its FA and MO lines of presses, but the real potential lies in the competitive and advanced FB-Line range, says global sales manager Jesper Jorgensen: ‘We believe that the FB-Line of presses supports the current market and infrastructure in Mexico, and this competitive line of presses enables converters to expand their business opportunities and print a wide range of applications from carton and tags to unsupported film.
‘If you look at the entire Latin American market, both Mexico and Brazil show the greatest potential in terms of their market development and infrastructure. We are seeing large amounts of growth in the Mexican market for innovative packaging and labeling. Standard label business is very competitive in Mexico and it’s the guys with the new ideas, which are adding value to their labels, that will see all of the growth. We have the technology to enable these Mexican converters to move forward,’ he said.
Jorgensen explains that Nilpeter is concentrating on growing its business and expanding its service capabilities to support the installed base in Mexico: ‘The summit was a great place to market our brand and cement our position within the market,’ he said. ‘We had a good turnout in terms of our existing customers and we picked up a large number of very good leads – we just need to turn that into sales now.’
