OHSAS 18001 for Cham & Tenero paper mills

At the beginning of October 2005, the Cham and Tenero mills belonging to the Cham Paper Group were certified according to OHSAS 18001. (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems).

The company said in a statement: ‘Since 1991 the Cham Paper Group has adhered to a comprehensive integrated management system. Policies, organization and processes throughout the group are developed consistently according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Specific measures constantly promote safety awareness amongst the staff and minimize risks.’

The Cham Paper Group annually produces 260,000 tonnes of specialty base papers for flexible packaging, self-adhesive materials, labels and various technical-industrial applications.
