Omet to host April open house

Italian press manufacturer Omet will host an Open House at its Technology Center in Lecco on April 2-3 2007 in cooperation with main partners such as Sun Chemicals, AVT, Exxon Mobil, Kurz, Stora Enso, Asahi, Karville, Alphaterm, and others.

In particular, this event will see the launch of the new machine Varyflex-F1, a renewed model in design and performances, which is claimed to allow a remarkable reduction of wastes and set-up times. The machine will be equipped with a rotogravure unit by Omet and a cold-foil unit to print on plastic film.

Omet will offer the visitors of the Open House the possibility to compare all print sectors, putting at their disposal three different machine models on demonstration that will print on all substrates, from polypropylene to self-adhesive paper, from PVC to light carton.

On the occasion, it will be also possible to admire some recent innovations introduced by Omet on the market, such as Holo-Foil King to apply holograms online, the rotary die-cutting unit Twin-Cut and the Flying-Cut unit.

During the day it will be possible to attend a technical seminar, in which the main innovations on the market will be presented with reference to the materials used in print and the most innovative technologies.
