Open house features case for digital

AB Graphic International held its second open house at its Elgin, Illinois, facility in November. The event was co-sponsored by Hewlett Packard and brought together representatives from over 70 companies within the industry.
Presentation topics included ‘Latest Industry Trends’ and ‘Business Case for Digital Label Products’, while there was also a demonstration of the ws4500 from HP Indigo and an RFID overview from Avery Dennison. AB Graphic demonstrated various products from its range including the Omega Digicon with hot foil stamping and embossing for digitally printed labels, Vectra turret rewinders, Omega slitter rewinders, Flytec 100% camera inspection and pharmaceutical rewinders with overviews of the new laser die cutting and Omega Digilam for laminating narrow web package materials.
Hewlett Packard hosted the first evening at the Marriot Hotel and transformed the area into ‘an old European town’ with displays showing the winners of the HP Indigo Label Awards that were announced during Labelexpo Europe.
‘The entire event was a resounding success,’ said Al Spendow, VP of operations for AB Graphic Int’l USA. ‘Our aim was to bring together customers, potential clients and valued partners under one roof so we could offer full end to end solutions. Our thanks go out to all who attended and our gratitude to all those individuals and companies who contributed towards making the event another triumph.’
