Ovelar boosts shrink sleeve capacity with second MPS press
Spanish packaging printer Ovelar S.A has purchased its second MPS UV flexo press, an MPS EF-410. With a printing width of up to 410mm, the new press will boost the company’s production of shrink sleeve labels.
The first MPS press, installed at Ovelar by Spanish distributor Grupo Impryma, was an EXL-packaging UV flexo press with a wide-format print size of 660mm. Its new EF-410 full servo 8-color UV flexo press is equipped with Automatic Print Control, which sets print pressures automatically.
Jess Ovelar, president of Ovelar, said: 'The new MPS press will provide a greater degree of flexibility and higher printing quality of shrink sleeve labels, where Ovelar is a market leader'.
Founded in 1970, Ovelar manufactures adhesive rolls, self-adhesive labels and printed films for national and international markets. Its modern 23,000m sq production facilities are based in Arganda del Rey, supporting a Europe-wide sales network.
