Packaging learnShops 2011

Visitors to the NEC Birmingham (UK) on February 16th and 17th will have the opportunity to take in some interesting subjects at the free seminars that are ongoing throughout the two-day event.
Experts from the National Non-Foods Crop Centre (NNFCC) will run more than 15 learnShops in company with the British Printing Industry Federation (BPIF) Cartons under the theme: ‘How far have we come in bio-based packaging, and how the end-of-life of these materials will change our perception of waste.’
In another learnShop, entitled ‘Print for Packaging’, Kristof Van Cleemput of Agfa Graphics will be discussing the role of UV-inkjet in short run packaging, while Andrew Hewitson of Reproflex3, supported by Kodak, will explain how 14 years on, the dream has become a reality.
With over 400 exhibitors and six learnShops theatres to visit, the event will showcase the latest innovations in packaging.
