Payne supplies racecourse with accreditation system
For the sixth year running, Payne Security has supplied Aintree racecourse with a comprehensive accreditation system for the John Smith’s Grand National meeting, ensuring a fast, efficient means of identifying nearly 7000 official visitors.
All accredited contractors, employees and guests were issued with a clear photo ID card enabling instant verification and validation of access to all areas of the site. This user-friendly solution was also fully supported throughout the build up and actual race meeting with comprehensive on-site technical support ensuring continuous issuance of cards.
Payne Security has worked with Aintree’s operations team over a number of consecutive years to develop a bespoke system based on its successful IDPro software. Innovations since the 2005 event include upgrades to the printers, training of new members of staff, and the move of the accreditation office as part of Aintree’s redevelopment.
From its broad range of accessories, the John Smith’s Grand National team also chose Payne Security to produce printed lanyards that featured the sponsor of the event. These appeared numerous times on television coverage of the event, providing an effective means of branding in addition to displaying the access cards.
By race day Aintree had issued close to 7000 passes, without a single delay.
‘The John Smith’s Grand National is one of the major sporting events in the calendar, and an efficient ID system is crucial both for facilitating the flow of accredited personnel into the site and for the security of the site,’ commented Zo Greenall, operations manager at Aintree. ‘Payne Security has proved itself as a supplier over many years, and we continue to be impressed by the company’s commitment to meeting our requirements.’
‘The scale of this project – involving the complementary expertise of our I.T., ID Bureau, Telesales and Customer Service departments – demonstrates our ability to devise complex security solutions for event organizers,’ confirmed Matt Gregory of Payne Security.
