Acucote appoints new COO

- Lauffer continues progression in Acucote’s senior management
- New national sales manager also appointed
Acucote has promoted Gene Lauffer to the position of chief operating officer (COO), where he will continue to provide leadership having already served in senior management roles at the pressure-sensitive label specialist.
Lauffer has worked in the pressure-sensitive label stock industry for 30 years. In 2011, he was appointed vice president of sales at Acucote and then served as the company's senior vice president of commerce.
He is replacing Rick Cromer as COO. Cromer is retiring having helped Acucote establish a nationwide sales force and evolve from a manufacturer of commodity products to an established, custom label stock supplier.
In addition, Mike Hudson has been hired as national sales manager, joining Acucote with more than 15 years of sales and sales management experience in the paper, adhesive, converting and labeling industries.
