Appointment of ZAO Elastic Apex’ representation in Russia
Apex has announced the appointment of ZAO Elastic, as its representing company for the Russian market.
In September 2005 contacts were made between Apex and ZAO Elastic at the Labelexpo show in Brussels. It was concluded that Apex and Elastic were going to join forces in Russia. ZAO Elastic, founded in 1998 in St. Petersburg, counts 50 employees and will open a sales office in Moscow in the near future. This office will become a high-tech total flexo service facility, offering a total product program, including cleaning products, also offering services such as performing audits, cleaning in house, or at the customer’s, etc.
Within Elastic, Mr Konstantin Vassiliev (left on photo) becomes responsible for the department that represents anilox rolls in the Russian geographical area. He finalized his studies at the University of Mnster (Germany) and started with Elastic for the printing industry. Konstantin is 29 years old and sees a great future in the sales of anilox rolls in the way Apex deals with the product. The high level of service and the personal and problem-solving approach of the market fit well in Elastic’s vision.
In the first week of February Apex’ technical sales director, Martien Hendriks, visited Moscow and he commented: ‘I was surprised by the extreme high quality level of flexoprinting in Russia. Apex’s name is quite unknown in Russia, but the market is open to a supplier of high-quality anilox rolls,’
Furthermore, Jan Pirhonen is actively approaching the Baltic States Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and promoting the Apex name in this area. Therefore, Apex is well-presented in this upcoming area in central Europe.
