- To serve Bobst customers in the UK, Ireland and in Scandinavia
Packaging machinery specialist Bobst has added to its training team with the appointment of Andy Harris as a product specialist covering the die-cutting process.
Bobst said the appointment reflects increased demand from its customers for operator training and for process improvement advice.
Harris joins 14-year BOBST veteran Graeme Doran in delivering training and advice on the flat-bed die-cutting process.
The team he joins includes specialists in areas such as folding and gluing, hot-foil stamping, flexo printing, window patching, tray forming and in-line casemaking.
Neil Jones, managing director of Bobst UK and Ireland, said: ‘Andy becomes the ninth member of our UK-based team of product specialists serving Bobst customers here, in Ireland and in Scandinavia.
‘The team trains operators in how to use their Bobst equipment most efficiently and they also advise plant management on how to improve their processes for maximum productivity and profits.
‘Now, more than ever, folding carton plants realise that they need to be at their most effective if they are to survive. Andy has more than twenty years' experience of folding carton production gained in high pressure, high throughput plants. That sort of experience is invaluable when advising carton making staff, whether they are operators, managers or plant owners.
‘We're committed to supporting our customers throughout the lifecycle of their Bobst product. So whether their machine was installed last week or thirty years ago we will support it with training, advice, parts, upgrades and maintenance.
‘Having two product specialists covering carton die-cutting means that we can get to customers faster when they need support.’
