Brewin Dolphin Securities has announced the appointment of Philip Browne as director of marketing. This appointment follows the promotion of Charlotte Black, who has been marketing director since 1992, to become director of corporate affairs, where she will be concentrating on Brewin's PR and public affairs. Charlotte is also a non-executive director of Euroclear PLC.

Philip Browne has 18 years marketing experience having worked for Storehouse, Mothercare UK, Sainsbury's Bank, British Airways Holidays and for the last five years he has been director of marketing for the stockbroker Killik & Co. He will be responsible for enhancing the Group's marketing endeavors in the Regions and in all its 35 Branch offices.

Jamie Matheson, executive chairman of Brewin Dolphin, said: ‘I am delighted that Philip Browne will be joining us as director of marketing. I am sure his considerable marketing skills will be of great benefit to our promotional efforts. This appointment will also free up Charlotte Black and allow her to pursue a more public role for Brewin Dolphin and the Group.’
