Digital Solutions Cooperative announces new 2008 board members

Digital Solutions Cooperative (Dscoop) has added four new members to its board of directors. Newly elected members, who will serve a term of two years, are:
• Boris Bel, HP, Andover, Massachusetts
• Susan Moore, Digital Printing & Imaging Inc., Kennesaw, Georgia
• Christopher Petro, GlobalSoft Digital Solutions, Mahwah, New Jersey
• David Smith, Communicorp Inc., Columbus, Georgia


‘We are pleased and fortunate to have these new members join our team,’ said Todd Kalagher, 2008 Dscoop chairman of the board.  ‘With their extensive industry expertise each one will contribute measurably to the goals and future success of the cooperative.’


Boris Bel is director of services, Indigo division, HP Americas, a role in which he is responsible for the support of the HP Indigo product line. Bel began his printing career in Russia after graduating from the Graphic Arts University in Moscow in 1985. In 1992, he joined Indigo in Israel, becoming one of the first field-service engineers to support the original Indigo press line.


Susan Moore is president of Digital Printing & Imaging Inc., or DPI, which she co-founded after spending 10 years with Eastman Kodak Company. DPI is one of the first HP Indigo printing sites in the United States, launching those digital services in 1993.


Christopher Petro has more than 15 years of printing industry experience. He leads efforts related to Global Soft Digital Solutions Inc.’s new product offerings, strategic initiatives and financial direction.


David Smith is senior manager of digital print and business development for Communicorp Inc. where he supervises the development of the digital printing infrastructure, including web-to-print, variable data printing and fulfillment, and operations automation.
