Edale announces changes to sales division

Edale has appointed Chris Chappel as sales manager, covering the UK and Ireland, as well as a number of export countries. He will be based in a new location as Edale opens its second UK office, in Oldham, Greater Manchester. This means the company now has a base in the North as well as its existing purpose-built premises on the South Coast, providing greater reach and support to its growing list of customers.
Chappel has worked within the print industry for 13 years, in a technical printing role as well as a sales capacity. He is said to have been a key member of the Edale sales team for just over two years. Chappel was initially employed by Edale as a print application engineer to run the UK showroom and host demonstrations and trials, before moving into a more technical sales role.
‘Chris was the ideal candidate when we were looking to expand our UK sales team. The introduction and launch of the new next generation label and package printing press, the Edale FL-3, was the ideal time to recruit for this position. Chris’ experience of running the Edale range as well as servicing and customer training means he has the in-depth technical knowledge needed for this role’, said Edale’s managing director James Boughton.
‘Working at Edale for a number of years has enabled me to gain invaluable knowledge on the company’s values and focuses’ commented Chappel. ‘As well as this, I have been lucky enough to run the full range of presses – so as well as technical experience I am also familiar with the machines from a hands-on perspective. I am looking forward to the challenge that the new role brings, and am keen to introduce Edale’s British designed and manufactured presses into more UK companies’.
