Harper Graphics appoints production manager
Global anilox supplier Harper Corporation of America has announced that Christopher Mueller has joined its European affiliate, Harper Graphics, as production manager.
In this capacity, Mueller is responsible for the Herford, Germany-based facility’s daily production operations, ensuring that anilox rolls are delivered at the correct specifications and on time.
After finishing his studies in mechanical and industrial engineering in Great Britain and in Germany, Mueller gained experience in the tooling business as a business development manager. He coordinated international business activities between mother and daughter companies. By tackling various organization projects, he found that he could further improve the internal processes and efficiency of the company.
Mueller continued his career in the aerosol valve business. As a plant manager in Poland, he reduced overall production costs and increased productivity and profitability by restructuring the local business organization, introducing modern production planning and control software, and transferring production equipment from other European countries to the Polish site.
Mueller brings this experience in international manufacturing and trade to the anilox roll production at Herford, furthering Harper’s successful worldwide operations.
‘Christopher’s background in management, engineering and international manufacturing is incredibly valuable in his new position,’ said Margie Kluttz, Harper Corporation’s president. ‘We are very pleased to have him at Harper Graphics.’
