Mark Andy appoints Stark
Former press operator takes sales role for DACH and Benelux.
Mark Andy has appointed David Stark as head of markets for the DACH and Benelux regions, a role he took up on October 1, 2026, to strengthen its European sales organization in a strategically important part of the world.
Stark began his career in 2001 as a press operator at one of Germany's leading label printing companies, gaining hands-on experience in all printing processes, particularly multi-process printing. He later ran his own printing-related business, spent many years responsible for global sales of post-press equipment and then moved into sales of narrow-web presses in the German market.
He qualified as a label printer specializing in multi-process printing at Johannes Gutenberg Schule in Stuttgart in 2004, and from 2008 to 2010 completed a two-year program to become a state-certified print and media technician. He then spent two years at a rotogravure printing company specializing in furniture and flooring decor, where he handled application technology and sales.
Stark said his experience lets him view a printing company's needs through its business model, the jobs it handles, its daily challenges and the technology. 'I am starting my new role at Mark Andy with great energy and see tremendous potential for the company across the DACH and Benelux regions. I want to use my knowledge of the market and its customers to work together with the entire Mark Andy Europe team on new investment projects and, as a result, further strengthen the company's presence in the region,' he said.
'David Stark brings to our European team a very valuable combination of production knowledge, entrepreneurial experience and many years in printing press sales. He knows the narrow-web printing market extremely well, particularly in Germany, and has a strong understanding of the needs of the printing companies operating in this sector. The DACH and Benelux regions are strategically important to Mark Andy, both from a European and a global perspective. We are confident that David's knowledge, business relationships and experience will help us increase Mark Andy's market share in this part of the world and achieve further commercial successes in the region,' noted Tom Cavalco, vice president international sales at Mark Andy.
