Narrow web offset specialist joins Matik North America
Matik North America has announced the appointment of Christoph Davis as sales manager for its web offset technologies division. Matik North America is the exclusive distributor in the United States, Canada and Mexico for Boix, Codimag, Ribler, Edelmann Graphics, Senntech Converting, Goebel Slitter Rewinder, Synchropack, Omet Flexo Presses, Omet Tissue, Multipack, Prodec, TMZ, and Vesta renowned European machine manufacturers.
Davis comes to Matik from the UK with 15 years experience in the narrow web offset market, specializing in the Edelmann Graphics product range of web offset equipment. Edelmann, since 1972, has built and installed over 3500 printing presses worldwide, with core markets being commercial, flexible packaging, packaging, labels, security and half web applications such as telephone directories and books. The range is diverse and offers hybrid print technologies of offset, flexo, letterpress, roto gravure and silkscreen in widths from 15 ' (390mm) up to 30" ( 760 mm) with print repeats of up to 48".
He will also be handling the Codimag intermittent-feed combination label presses, which are available in two web widths 13 3/8" (340 mm) and 16.5" (420 mm). Codimag is well known for their unique machines which are capable of combining water less offset with the traditional print processes of label production without the need to change cylinders. A strong market of note for the Codimag presses is the wine label business.
