New director of labels for AGI
AGI Labels, the Littlehampton, UK-based digital print specialist, has named Bob Blow as its new director of labels.
Bob has an enviable reputation within the printing industry, having begun his career at the age of 16 as a printer’s apprentice. He then rose through the ranks, holding various production management positions until being named as managing director of BPC Hannibal in Leicester. Bob held this key post for 15 years, and is well known throughout the industry.
Selected by AGI Labels for his solid track-record and vast business experience, Bob will pioneer a number of new initiatives within AGI Labels – in particular, an agenda based upon the careful stewardship of the company, attention to efficiency, the elimination of waste, and a more enhanced relationship with key suppliers and clients.
‘I am immensely proud of the team at AGI Labels,’ said Bob. ‘We have a great spirit here, and some really strong teams – salespeople and technical specialists alike. As we all know, we are dealing with a tough market and working to some tough margins. However, we have made a complete review of materials and suppliers, and I am proud to announce that we have held our prices in check – despite all the outside pressures. Our blend of large-circulation and niche work, plus the excellent range of printing machinery at the plant, from HP Indigo to Gallus, means that AGI Labels is fully-equipped for a great 2006. Customer care, reduced make-ready times, greater savings and more creative drive – as far as I am concerned, we’re the best in the business!’
