OPM appoints new sales director
The OPM Group, specialist printers of labels and flexible packaging for the beverage sector, has appointed Simon Mashiter as its new sales director.
His appointment marks the continued commercial development of the group, which in the past two years has won preferred print supplier status from major retailers and supermarkets.
MD Chris Ellison commented: ‘Simon Mashiter has been instrumental in building our sales capability in recent years. He has created and developed productive long term relationships with blue chip clients, and I am delighted to appoint him as sales director.’
Mashiter has been with OPM for eight years, most recently as a senior sales manager. Commenting on this new role he said: ‘I am delighted to have been offered this role. We have a strong client base, both across the UK and internationally and one of my immediate priorities will be to consolidate OPM's success with our existing clients.
‘These are exciting times for The OPM Group and my primary role is to develop strong and long-lasting new client business, as we continue to grow both in the UK and internationally.’
The OPM Group has recently achieved international recognition for its technical print capabilities, winning more than fifty awards, in three years, from major world print bodies, such as the European Flexographic Technical Association, and the US-based Flexographic Technical Association.
Mashiter is a member of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management, and an elected member of The Institute of Packaging. He succeeds Ian Bell who has been appointed client account director for The OPM Group.
