New team appointed to drive European operations and growth for Scandstick under Beontag ownership

Scandstick, a Beontag company, has announced a new senior European leadership team, marking an exciting phase of strategic growth for the company. Tommi Heinonen, hailing from a leadership role at UPM Specialty Paper, has been appointed as the new managing director. He will be overseen by Mauro Lerner, Beontag's global vice president of lamination.

Scandstick has been gearing up to maximize its transition from being a leading European manufacturer to becoming a company that can truly leverage the resources, expertise, operational oversight, and support of a global industry leader, since its acquisition by Beontag in 2022.

The establishment of a new senior European leadership tier is part of this strategic plan, with the aim to fully manage expanded European business operations across four sites. This initiative aligns with the company's growth ambitions.

Supporting Heinonen in his role as managing director, the company has named Niels Schou as commercial director, who will join Scandstick from Avery Dennison in April. Joakim Svensson, formerly of healthcare manufacturer Stryker, will serve as operations director, while Jesper Serle, Scandstick's long-standing CFO, completes the team.

Scandstick and Beontag extend their gratitude to the Fredin family for more than 40 years of service and commitment to the Scandstick business. They assure that the company's rich heritage, personal touch, and deep institutional knowledge will be upheld.

At the same time, they look forward to introducing new operational efficiencies, research and development initiatives, international best practices, and a wider array of solutions for their customers.
