ScanSource Europe POS and barcoding appoints VP of sales

ScanSource has named Richard Gregoire vice president of sales of the company’s European POS and barcoding business unit.

Reporting to managing director, Maurice van Rijn, Gregoire will manage the strategic growth and development of the company’s sales and business development efforts, including cultivating and strengthening customer relationships and working closely with reseller partners to assist them in growing their business.

ScanSource has realigned the management structure of the sales team following Gregoire and van Rijn’s appointments to enhance its focus across all regions. Two regional business directors – each responsible for a team of business development managers: Emma Edwards for the UK and Ireland; Frank Willemse for the Benelux, DACH and Nordics regions – will report to Gregoire.

Formerly sales director Southern Europe for the unit, Gregoire will retain this responsibility until an appointment is made. Newly appointed inside sales director Viktoria Zelenska will also report to him. She will manage ScanSource’s European POS and barcoding team of account managers that will be divided over four regions.

Gregoire has worked at ScanSource Europe for 10 years where he has been instrumental in the success of ScanSource’s European operations, which were launched in 2002. He brings close to 20 years of experience of sales in technology industry to this position.
